On the Death of the Immortal.

Leonard Orr, the Father of Rebirthing-Breathwork, also known as “California guru,” died on 5 Sep 2019. His death is quite a loss not only for his loved ones, but for the whole international Rebirthing-Breathwork community. Over the course of his life, Leonard gave this “gift of breath” to countless people across the globe. I learned this technique from him in Poland, in early 1980s. To this day, I observe how his breathing method brings healing to people who try it. Leonard’s ideas inspired me in many ways and I have considered him to be my “spiritual teacher.” The death of Orr is also significant because he was one of the best-known proponents of Physical Immortality. "Selling air" - A tribute to Leonard Orr

  A tribute to Leonard Orr. I have already given a lot of tribute to Leonard in my blog posts: On the Path of Breath and On the Death of the Immortal . In this article I will only add a few more personal stories and a few previously unpublished pictures of Leonard and his family. They are all from the summer of 1986, when I had a chance to visit with the Orrs in California. After I spent a couple of weeks on the East Coast (NY, Boston), Leonard invited me to come to California and generously paid for my ticket to Reno, NV. At the time, he was touring a few states offering Rebirthing seminars. He asked me to take his Pontiac station wagon and join him in Idaho. I have never driven a car like this, in America (!), so in itself this was quite a thrill. I loved this car, which allowed me to see the most beautiful parts of America, and which often served as my shelter (I slept in it when travelling). I believe I joined with the Orrs near Boise, ID. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada ... and selected (a solid) minority Liberal government for the wonderful country of Canada. Personally, I am glad. To quote from the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, it seems "Canadians rejected the politics of fear and division" and stayed focused on the future challenges. It seems Justin Trudeau will have a chance to continue his father's efforts towards "progressive" Canada and "the just society." Andrew Scheer, leader of the Conservative Party  Andrew Scheer, his conservative rival, undoubtedly a man of many talents, appeared to focus his campaign on Trudeau and his record. It is, naturally, always easier to criticise others than to show some positive path forward. Scheer, often, appeared to be quite perfidious in attacking his rival, and this is what eventually turned me against him.
